About Surewell
Who makes it, and what it stands for
Surewell is a daily check-in app for families with a parent who lives alone. The parent taps “I’m OK” once a day. If the morning goes quiet, Surewell reminds them, then lets the family know. It also rings medicine reminders, gives a plain answer when a message looks like a scam, and lets a parent ask “Is this really you?” when a caller sounds like family and asks for money.
Who makes Surewell
Surewell is made by an independent developer. One person designs and builds the iPhone app, the Android app and the service behind them, and writes the guides on this site.
Questions, ideas and corrections go straight to the person who builds it: [email protected].
What Surewell stands for
- Care, not surveillance. Surewell shares a daily “I’m OK”, not a minute-by-minute picture of someone’s life. It can’t read calls, texts or apps.
- The parent decides. Your parent installs Surewell on their own phone, sees exactly what is shared, and can pause check-ins or leave at any time.
- Quiet when all is well. No daily notification to wade through. Surewell speaks up when something needs you.
- Honest about limits. Surewell is not an emergency service or a medical alert. It doesn’t detect falls and it doesn’t call emergency services. If someone may be hurt or in danger, call your local emergency number first.
How Surewell makes money
One subscription per family, Surewell Family, with a two-week free trial. Parents never pay. Surewell doesn’t sell data and doesn’t show ads; the privacy policy has the details.
How our guides and comparisons are written
Every guide is researched from primary sources such as the FBI, the FTC and national health services, links to them, and shows the date it was last reviewed. Comparisons use each company’s own published features and prices, checked on the date shown, and say plainly when another option suits a family better than Surewell does. If you spot something wrong or out of date, write to [email protected] and it will be fixed.
