Help for families and parents using Surewell
Write to indie.yt.tr@gmail.com and we'll get back to you as soon as we can. Tell us whether you use Surewell as family or as a parent, and what you were trying to do.
If someone may be hurt or in danger, call your local emergency number first.
On the family side, open the Family tab and choose Invite a parent. Surewell makes an 8-digit code and a message to send. On the parent's phone, install Surewell, choose "I'm a parent" and enter the code. The parent never needs an account or a password.
When the parent's check-in window ends without an "I'm OK", Surewell reminds the parent first. If there's still no word, the family is alerted. A check-in at any point sends the family an all-clear.
On the family side, open your parent's page and choose "New phone? Get a code to move them over". Enter that code on the new phone, after choosing "I'm a parent", and everything carries over. An iPhone after an Android phone, or the other way round, works the same.
On your old phone, open Surewell › Settings › "Use Surewell on another phone" for a code. On the new phone, install Surewell, choose "I'm family" and sign in (Sign in with Apple on an iPhone, Sign in with Google on Android), then choose "I have a code" and enter it. You keep your family circle, your subscription and your alerts, and from then on either sign-in opens your account.
Only what they choose in "What I share" on their own phone. Battery level is on to start with; steps and last known location stay off until they turn them on. Turning any of them off deletes what was stored.
Surewell Family covers the whole family circle. On an iPhone it is billed through your Apple ID: manage or cancel it in Settings › your name › Subscriptions. On Android it is billed through Google Play: manage or cancel it in the Play Store app › your profile picture › Payments & subscriptions › Subscriptions. A subscription stays with the store it was bought in: bought on an iPhone, it is managed with Apple even when you now use Android, and the other way round. To restore a purchase on a new phone of the same kind, open Surewell › Settings › Get Surewell Family › Restore purchases.
Open Surewell › Settings › Delete account. Your data is deleted from our servers. A parent can also choose Leave my family circle in What I share, which erases what Surewell keeps about them.
No longer have the app? Write to indie.yt.tr@gmail.com with the subject "Delete my Surewell account" and the name your family knows you by in Surewell. We confirm it's you, then delete your account and everything Surewell keeps about you within 30 days.
